Boilermaker / Welder Apprenticeship | Apprenticeship Program | WesTrac

Boilermakers are trades persons who cut, shape, assemble and weld steel to construct and repair metal products and structures. At WesTrac this includes the fabrication, repairs and maintenance on a wide-range of Caterpillar equipment, including; buckets, trays, booms track frames, hand rails, ladders, platforms, kick rails, steps and weld brackets.

School requirements

  • School Leaver - OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8
  • Non-School Leaver - C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent- 
  • AQF - Certificate I or Certificate II

Pre-Apprenticeship

MEM20105 Certificate II in Engineering (Heavy Fabrication Pre-Apprenticeship)

Qualification

MEM30305 Certificate III Engineering Fabrication Trade (Heavy/Welding YH)
