Community involvement is an important part of the WesTrac philosophy and culture. As such, we're proud to support local activities, events, causes and charities in the regions we are based. We are committed to establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups and welcome any communication using the form below.
Doing our part for the community
WesTrac is committed to having an engaged workforce that is physically and mentally safe and healthy. Physical health is an important part of our overall wellness strategy. As part of this commitment, employee participation in physically-focused community events is actively encouraged and supported across our business.
Every year WesTrac supports a select number of charities/causes by organising internal fundraising events at our branches, sponsoring teams and/or providing financial donations. Some of the charities we regularly support include:
On an ad-hoc basis, we also support other charities. In Western Australia, we have 'Casual for a Cause' every Friday where employees wear casual attire and donate a gold coin to a smaller local-based charity.
The Bindjareb Project
WesTrac has continued to support the Bindjareb Program - a program that involves helping Aboriginal men from the Bindjareb region, who are currently engaged in the criminal justice system, get back on their feet.
Glascoyne Junction Remote Community School hosted a Pink Stumps Day to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation. WesTrac helped by donating prizes that were raffled off, helping the school hit a new fundraising record.
