Imagery Guidelines

  • Only imagery that has been approved by the WesTrac Marketing Team can be used
  • Deep etching of product imagery can only be undertaken by a Photoshop expert
  • If imagery contains products, where possible, the Caterpillar and/or Cat name/logo should be clear and visible
  • If an image is flipped, the Caterpillar and/or Cat name/logo must be shown correctly (i.e. not flipped)
  • If imagery has supporting text, the imagery should never dominate the text, only compliment it
  • If imagery contains products that have been etched, these etched products can go over the top of the hero image, yellow band or baseplate, but it should never appear over the top of the text
  • Image should only be masked if there is a clear distinction between a foreground and background
  • Image should only be masked where the headline can be aligned left
  • Masked areas of images should never cover text in a way that means the text cannot be read
  • The image shouldn’t be too busy or interfere with the headline
  • The imagery should be realistic and representative of WesTrac and/or WesTrac customers

  • Only icons that have been approved by the WesTrac Marketing Team can be used
  • Icons are always a single approved colour (WesTrac Yellow, Black, White or Light Grey)
  • Icons are never cartoonish/animated

All WesTrac-approved images and icons are found inside our Digital Asset Management Tool (DAM), nicknamed Baxter. Only authorised employees, vendors and suppliers will be given access to Baxter. To request access, use the form below.
