How do I start renting with WesTrac?

Credit Limit

If you're not a current WesTrac customer, after submitting a rental request, you'll be asked to apply for a WesTrac credit limit.

We have an online credit application process that involves filling out a form and providing us with the necessary information. The form will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and the approval process takes 3-5 days. Once approved, you'll have standard 30-day terms to pay each invoice.

Can I rent compact equipment from Rental Solutions?

We only offer heavy equipment in the 20t to 50t range. If you require compact equipment (20t or smaller), including Mini Excavators, Skid Steer Loaders and Multi Terrain Loaders, you can reach out to our Cat Rental Store partners at Coates Hire.

Is there a minimum hire period?

In NSW/ACT, no. We can provide heavy equipment for a single day if required.

Can I try before I buy? Is there a purchase option available?

Yes, Rental Solutions offers a rent-to-purchase on new and used machinery, with rebate options available. To discuss an option that works for you, contact our team.

Can the rented equipment be delivered?

Yes, Rental Solutions can quote and organise transport to your site using our preferred supplier. Alternatively, you can organise your own transport - the choice is up to you.

Can I rent if my business isn't located in NSW/ACT?

No, however you can still enquire with us and we'll pass your details onto the appropriate dealer.

Is insurance required before renting?

Yes, all machines rented by Rental Solutions must be fully covered before the hire period can commence.

Can I rent heavy equipment from any WesTrac branch in NSW/ACT?

All of our NSW/ACT branches can service your rental enquiry and provide you with a quote. Physically, our heavy equipment rental fleet is held in Sydney. As our rental fleet grows, machine locations will expand to Newcastle (Tomago) and Tamworth.

Do you offer Total Equipment Solutions?

Yes, we offer affordable alternatives to purchasing new and used machinery by maintaining an inventory of low hour heavy Cat equipment available for hire. If you are looking to run your business using only rented equipment, our Rental Team can work with you to implement a solution that meets your requirements.

Who is responsible for the maintenance of rented equipment?

Our team will be responsible for servicing and major repairs. The cost of this would be built into your rental agreement, so you won't have to worry about it.

Will there be after hours service provided for rented equipment?

Yes, Rental Solutions provides you with an after hours number that you can call if a breakdown occurs outside of normal business hours.

What information do I need to provide to get a quote?

Company name, site address, type of equipment required, length of hire required, site conditions (e.g. waste) and contact details.
