Improve performance by using the advanced display in your new loader

Download this user guide from Caterpillar to learn how to master your new loader's advanced display screen (ADS). It provides step-by-step visual instructions that are easy to follow.

This Caterpillar user guide has been designed to help you learn how to use most of the features of the advanced display screen (ADS) in your Cat® new skid steer, compact track loader or multi-terrain loader. The ADS gives you more control over your machine. It was designed and tested with input from regular users to make it as clear and useful as possible.

By mastering the ADS features and making the most of the technology available, you'll increase your performance over time and knock over your jobs faster than ever before.

This document is a reference guide only and may not provide detailed instructions on every feature (there are a lot on these new machines). If you have a specific question about the display's features, which are not answered by the guide, please reach out and let us know by clicking here.

General ADS Tips

  1. Book in some time to read the guide and practice using the ADS, it'll pay off in the long run.
  2. Practice using the ADS in a safe environment and do so until you are comfortable with the features you are likely to use the most.
  3. Learn how to configure the screen to match the way you work. Add features to the display that you are likely to use and remove others that you won't.
  4. If you have practised enough, when you are using the ADS on a job, you won't have to take your eyes off the road or job for long.
  5. Don't forget to quickly check the ADS regularly during a job. You should keep an eye on important parameters like temperature, speed and levels.

The ADS will make your jobs easier if it is used to its full potential. It'll turn you into a more efficient operator by allowing you to operate your equipment with confidence.

Good luck with mastering the ADS and reach out to us if you need any help.
