WesTrac Apprenticeships

Applications Are Open in WA

A WesTrac apprenticeship is a dynamic learning experience where you get the opportunity to work in world class facilities with onsite, nationally accredited training through the WesTrac Institute.

The quality of our training is often reflected in the demand for our qualified apprentices, with recruited apprentices usually being offered permanent positions within the company at the conclusion of the program.

To apply for an apprenticeship you will need the following documentation:

  • Copies of the last two years’ school reports (current students / completed Year 12 within the last two years)
  • Evidence of school-based work placement results
  • Evidence of completion or enrolment of pre-apprenticeship
  • TAFE or university results
  • Evidence of work related training
  • Resume, including details of two work-related referees
  • Letter of application

Our apprenticeship programs are structured around nationally recognised training qualifications with a duration in WA nominally being a four year term. WesTrac traditionally offers the following apprenticeships, primarily based at Guildford, however periodically they are also offered at our regional branches throughout WA.

  • Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (Mobile Equipment).
  • Automotive Electricians.
  • Boilermakers
  • Machinists (1st Class and Fitter/Machinists)

New South Wales / ACT

Our NSW Team is not currently taking applications. Registration has closed. Registration for the 2019 mid-year intake will open up later in the year.

WesTrac believes its greatest investment is people. For this reason WesTrac takes great pride in its apprentice program and endeavours to provide the highest level of training possible. The quality of our training is often reflected in the demand for our qualified apprentices and for those that meet our high standards.
