1. Apprenticeships

WesTrac Institute offers nationally accredited apprenticeship programs for the qualifications outlined below. All training is based in either our Tomago or Guildford facilities and comprises of the 'off the job' component that is required for your apprenticeship.

NSW Apprenticeships

From 1 July 2018, the NSW Government has made new apprenticeships fee-free – meaning no more upfront training costs for students or employers under the smart and skilled reform.

Courses for eligible apprentices in New South Wales are subsidised by the NSW Government. For consumer protection information visit the Smart and Skilled website. Read more about the fees.

WA Apprenticeships

The Department of Training and Workforce Development's Apprenticeship Office administers training contracts and regulates the apprenticeship system in Western Australia.

2. National Qualifications & Competency Training

National Accredited Courses at WesTrac

WesTrac Institute Tomago (NSW) offers full qualifications that are nationally recognised, either fee for service or for eligible students this may be partially funded through smart and skilled.

WesTrac Institute Guildford (WA) offers full qualifications that are nationally recognised through Jobs and Skills WA - The Department of Training and Workforce Development's Apprenticeship Office administers training contracts and regulates the apprenticeship system in Western Australia.

Both WesTrac Institutes offer a variety of safety training that provides participants with the underpinning skills and knowledge to safely work on mobile equipment within the construction and mining industries that are nationally recognised where the student will be issued with a statement of attainment

We are very focused on ensuring our people and our customers are ahead of the game in regards to new developments in equipment. Short Industry Training provides participants with the skills and knowledge to service, repair and diagnose mobile equipment and systems.

The Institute offers machine courses to cover specific machine models or a series of machines. The courses can be delivered as familiarisation or in-depth troubleshooting.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is defined as an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.
