How Cat attachments unlocked Proform’s productivity

Proform Civil is a Perth contractor taking on projects across WA. As the business has grown, so has Dale’s Cat fleet, including a 315 GC Excavator and 259D3 Compact Track Loader.

On a 2,500 m² car park job, trimming with a bucket slowed things down. A full grader was too big for most Proform sites, so Dale moved to the Cat GB124 Smart Grader Blade, turning his 259D3 into a compact, highly accurate grader.

The upgrade proved itself on a Shire of Mundaring access‑way project, where Proform reshaped eroded gravel in tight spaces a larger grader couldn’t reach. The Shire loved the result and Dale says the blade has lifted productivity and client satisfaction across the board.

Dale says the Cat Smart Grader Blade has made a huge difference on the job. “I press one button to set a two‑per‑cent grade, double‑click to flip it, and I’m away. It’s quicker, cleaner and just makes finishing easier.”

He’s also spending less time on lasers. “It’s actually got me out of the excavator and into the track machine more — I enjoy using it.”
