Training
WesTrac Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO ID 50737) that provides Apprenticeship and Safety Training that has a Nationally Recognised outcome. Non–Accredited Short Industry courses including Operator Training.
All training is provided to employees of companies working within the broader heavy equipment industry as well as WesTrac.
The WesTrac Institute is run out of state-of-the-art classrooms and workshops in New South Wales and Western Australia. It services the construction, transport and mining industries providing flexible, timely and efficient training packages.
Training Centres
The WesTrac Institute (NSW) has the capacity to train up to 350 apprentices at any one time. The facility is made up of 14 general classrooms, 2 labs, a large 5-bay workshop. The NSW Institute will also facilitate training of up to 4,000 students in post-trade courses annually.
The WesTrac Institute (WA) contains 20 state of the art classrooms all fitted with multimedia capabilities and WiFi. Complementing these facilities are 12 practical training workshop bays, a dedicated tool store and an electrical and test equipment workshop.
WesTrac Technology Training Centre (WTTC) in Collie is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, delivering training courses (non accredited) to technicians of autonomous equipment, such as haul trucks used in the mining industry.
The Technology Experience Centre (TXC) is a state-of-the-art education and training facility at WesTrac Newcastle Office. The TXC allows WesTrac customers to gain hands-on experience with the latest Cat® technologies used in mining and construction.
