What are WesTrac NSW's hose making and pressure testing capabilities?

We understand the importance of keeping your Cat machinery running as smooth and efficiently as possible. Through WesTrac NSW’s hose making and pressure testing capabilities, we can help you get your machine up and running again as quick as possible.

When it comes to machine hose replacements, a blown or damaged hose can see your machine go down, which costs your business time and money.

At WesTrac NSW, keeping your Cat gear in the dirt doing the work is our ultimate goal. Through our hose making and pressure testing capabilities, if your machine goes down due to a hose issue, we can help you get your machine back up and running again as quickly as possible.

Whether it be an urgent replacement, planned routine machine maintenance or the need for an onsite hose solution, here’s how we can support your business.

What are WesTrac NSW's hose and coupling services?

With 20 Cat hose crimpers operating across the extensive WesTrac branch network, you can rely on us for quick in-house Cat hose replacements. Most branches can crimp up to 2.0” ID high pressure hose and 3.5” ID low/medium pressure hose on demand.

If you have a large fleet and require a more long-term solution to increase uptime, we also have onsite hose storage containers solutions available to order in a variety of sizes and setups.

If you need a pressure test certificate, we can provide certification using our Cat pressure tester.

What do these hose services mean for you?

  • We can pressure test hoses that follow the guidelines of MDG41.
  • Our onsite storage container solutions reduce machine downtime saving you time and money. Storage containers can be ideal solutions when you have multiple machines operating or being serviced. With common hose assemblies stocked onsite, you can reduce downtime and eliminate the need to pay costly hose supplier call out fees.
    • We have options for 20ft containers that can store up to 650 hoses or 10ft containers that can store up to 300 hoses.
  • Our ability to supply complete or partial Cat machine hose kits can assist our customers who replace hose assemblies as part of routine preventive maintenance.

Why use WesTrac NSW for Cat hose replacements?

  • We have an extensive range of Cat hose and coupling products which cover both Caterpillar and non-Cat machinery:
  • Cat’s XT range of hoses are designed to be 20 times more abrasion resistant than standard SAE specification hose. This results in a more abrasive resistant hose assembly and less frequent hose replacements due to wear and tear.
  • Through utilising Caterpillar’s hose assembly program, when we build hose assemblies you can rely on them being an identical length and coupling angles as the OEM specification. This reduces installation issues due to hoses being incorrect lengths or angles.
  • All of our Cat hose assemblies have a 12-month warranty.
  • For onsite hose container solution customers, we can assist converting your non-Cat hose assemblies over to Caterpillar.
