Six pairs of everyday Aussies will battle it out room by room, transforming tired suburban family homes into astonishing new dream homes.
Hosted by Dr Chris Brown, Dream Home will feature some of the biggest and most life-changing renovations Australia has ever seen.
With grit and determination, the teams will design and rebuild each other’s outdated and dilapidated homes.
Following renovations in each state, the top three couples will have the opportunity to have their backyards completely made over with stunning gardens and outdoor living spaces.
The winning couple will not only receive their very own Dream Home, but also a life-changing cash prize of $100,000.
To complete their renovations, the teams use Cat machinery to transform their backyards. This machinery was supplied by Coates and WesTrac.

Sydney couple Lara and Peter bought a house with grand plans to do it up. However, the current cost of living crisis as well as rising interest rates and expensive building costs thwarted their plans of renovating their dilapidated home.
“The price of everything is going up, up and up. It’s a constant fight to keep what you have,” says Peter.
As such, both Lara and Peter work around the clock just to keep their heads above water.
However, now as contestants on Dream Home Australia, they’re excited to have their house turned into the dream home they’ve always wanted.
Brad and Mel, a Melbourne couple with four children, are ready to take on Dream Home Australia.
“We thought about our future and our children and saw this as an opportunity of a lifetime, so we took a punt and applied,” the couple shared.
Despite financial setbacks worsened by the pandemic and lack of renovation experience, they dream of a better home for their family, with Mel sharing what she hopes for her Dream Home.
“Open plan with loads of natural light, ample storage and clutter-free. Most importantly, filled with family and friends.”
Victorian sisters Taeler and Elle are Dream Home Australia’s secret weapons. Taeler is a graduate of architecture and a professional house flipper, which is something the dynamic duo are hoping to take advantage of.
They will be renovating the Watsonia North house that Elle and her boyfriend, Brody, purchased in 2022 and she is excited by what this renovation means for her future.
“My life is completely transformed,” Elle shares.
“Because of this…my partner and I can plan a wedding; we can have kids because we’ll have a house ready to go to kick start that next stage of our lives.”
New parents from Queensland Hannah and Jonny are doing Dream Home Australia for their 10-month-old twins Goldie and Theodore, and have been waiting to do DIY renovations on their own home for some time.
“We got to a point with our DIY renovation journey where we had no more money or time to do any more renovations ourselves, and a large renovation was out of the question for us as we are both self-employed,” the couple shared.
‘When we found out we were pregnant with twins, the clock was ticking for us to get the house as safe as possible."
“We had flaking lead paint falling off the house, rusting flashing sticking out of concrete, the foundations were cracked and the house was slowly sinking.”
Rhys and Liam are tradie brothers from Queensland, and they are ready to bring their skills as a tiler and carpenter, respectively, to the experience.
“I applied to help my brother, Liam, get his Dream Home.” Rhys shared.
“It will change Liam’s life. I’m glad I can help.”
Sydney-based couple Jacinta and Jordan are ready for their rundown Punchbowl home to get a Dream Home renovation, and look forward to getting stuck into construction.
“I grew up around construction as most of my family are tradies,” Jacinta said.
“I always loved taking part in any renovation project anyone around me had.”
Simon: Known as the go-to buyer’s agent and co-founder of Cohen Handler—the largest property buyer’s agency in Australia—Cohen lives and breathes property. Cohen will guide the teams through their renovation plans offering critical tips and advice accumulated over years of experience.
Lana: Co-owner of reno business Three Birds Renovations, Taylor is well versed in creating the home of families’ dreams and will help steer the teams through rookie mistakes.
Rosie: An interior designer and industry leader with more than 20 years experience, Rosie is a principal at high-end architectural and design studio, Hassell. Morley is a gun at achieving cohesion between the internal and external environments of a house.
