Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship

Plant Mechanics are trades persons who diagnose and repair drivelines, drive assemblies, engines, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, steering, wiring and circuits and controlling systems. At WesTrac this would include building, diagnosing and repairing the full range of Cat Fleet either in the workshop in Perth or FIFO from Perth to mines sites across WA. Residential roles are also available.

School requirements

  • School Leaver - OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8
  • Non-School Leaver - C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent
  • AQF - Certificate I or Certificate II

Certificate II in Engineering (Mechanical -Plant Mechanic Pre-Apprenticeship)
