WesTrac supports new autonomous investment in the Pilbara

WesTrac has been contracted to provide technology installation, commissioning and any necessary maintenance work to support BHP’s introduction of autonomous trucks at its Newman East (Eastern Ridge) mine this year.
“We are proud of our long-standing relationship with BHP and it’s exciting to see this continue with further expansion of AHS, an area where we’re seeing technology’s positive impact on the communities in which we operate,” said Jarvas Croome, WesTrac Chief Executive Officer.
WesTrac recently announced the opening of the Collie Autonomous Training Facility that will further support customers across Western Australia, with the upskilling of workforces to effectively deploy and maintain this technology.
