Community involvement is an important part of the WesTrac philosophy and culture. As such, we're proud to support local activities, events, causes and charities in the regions we are based. We are committed to establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups and welcome any communication using the form below.

Doing our part for the community

Community Participation

WesTrac is committed to having an engaged workforce that is physically and mentally safe and healthy. Physical health is an important part of our overall wellness strategy. As part of this commitment, employee participation in physically-focused community events is actively encouraged and supported across our business.

Some of the community events and organisations we support include:

Charitable Contributions

Every year WesTrac supports a select number of charities/causes by organising internal fundraising events at our branches, sponsoring teams and/or providing financial donations. Some of the charities we regularly support include:

On an ad-hoc basis, we also support other charities. In Western Australia, we have 'Casual for a Cause' every Friday where employees wear casual attire and donate a gold coin to a smaller local-based charity.

Rio Tinto's Blue Water Cart

Rio Tinto has recently put a rebuilt Cat 777F Water Cart Truck to work after having it painted bright blue in support of Beyond Blue; creating a beacon of positive mental health in the local community.

WesTrac helps uses return and earn to give back to the community

WesTrac Tomago began using the return and earn Government initiative to raise funds for the Bush Fire Appeal. They've since started using it to support Hunter River High, a local school near the branch.

Hearing from the community

Talk to us

We couldn't say community involvement is an important part of our philosophy and culture without opening our doors to hear from you.

We are active on social media because we want to hear from you and are open to community groups using these channels to reach out to us, with the view of establishing an ongoing relationship with our business.

We also want you to feel comfortable providing feedback to us on these channels, especially if that feedback is constructive. We view constructive feedback as a chance to improve the way we do business.

Putting family first

Family Benefits

For us, family is the most important part of the community. For this reason, we strive hard to ensure our employees have a healthy work/life balance and offer many benefits for their family.

These benefits include parental leave, additional leave, flexible work arrangements, private health insurance and company funded income protection. We also offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which provides counselling services to employees and their family.

Family Days

To actively involve the community in what we do, we hold family open days on a regular basis that give people a chance to tour our facilities, see the equipment in action and have a bit of fun.

Our family days are always community-focused and run with the participation of a number of charities and local organisations/suppliers.
